Session 10: The Worldbreaker Report

General Summary

The party search through the lair of The Cult of Rovagug in search for Meera's party. They partner with a Kobold prisoner, Krax, and scare him into helping them through the lair. Upon entering the lair of Gorg the Bloodyhanded and Zola the Goblin Dog they find a member of the missing party: Hawk, a Goloma fighter. Hawk passes away to his wounds but mentions something about Tilde, another party member, before breathing his last breath. While processing the death of Hawk, a rustling was heard near one of the dead bodies. The rustling turned out to be Mad Storm, a Leshy Pangolin who's previous master and companion was taken by the cult and killed. He and Drakaar hit it off and become friends. Krax refuses to go further in the dungeon due to not being worthy. Drakaar pushes him through the door and he is overcome with confidence due to not instantly dying when crossing the threshold of the door. However, when he steps into the next room he triggers a trap and is quickly eviscerated.   The party disable the trap and move to face the final boss. In the final room a Bearded Devil and 2 Hobgoblin priests are conducting a ritual to Rovagug. The Bearded Devil quickly downs Drakaar, however, when Drakaar returns from the brink of death He quickly kills The Bearded Devil. The Hobgoblins fall soon afterward with the final Hobgoblin being convinced by Ben that jumping into the pit is a fate much better than what Drakaar has in store for him. Being persuaded by Ben, the hobgoblin drops his items and dives into the pit headfirst falling to his death and being devoured by the monster that lurks within.   The cult, seemingly, has been stopped but at the cost of Meera's party. Meera is now faced with a choice of what she wants to do given that her friends are all dead, except for one potentially.
