Halshani Empire ((HOWL-SHAW-NEE))

The Halshani Empire was birthed by Salvador Halshani in the year 457 PS, during The Age of Silence. Salvador Halshani was a religious zealot that felt the 450 year silence of The Gods was a sign that man was meant to rule over the land and that the gods were needed no longer. Halshani began expanding his kingdom of Rexeltor into the neighboring kingdoms of Illari and Arterre. While the Illari and Arterre fought valiantly, their efforts were no match for the Rexeltor military for they had the finest forces in the land. By the year 460 PS Halshani and his forces had captured most of the land north of the Arterre Mountains. Their efforts were thwarted, however, by the dwarves within the mountains. The neighboring country of Lamoria aligned themselves with the dwarves of Kols Alps and pushed back the empire. They continue to push back this day.

The Code of Halshan

  2. No other Gods will be worshipped in The Empire. Worship of foreign Gods is punishable by up to 7 days on first offense, 7 years on second offense, and death on the third offense.
  3. The Use of Magic is Expressly Forbidden. Use of magic is punishable by death.
  4. All citizens of the empire must carry identification on them at all times and will present such identification whenever asked by officers of the law.
  5. Firearms and weaponry must require a license. The fee for said license is 10gp, which you will pay to local officers of the law. Your name is then entered into a lottery. On the first of every month names are drawn. If your name is drawn, you are allowed to purchase one piece of weaponry from a pre-approved list of weapons. These weapons are to be used solely for the purpose of hunting and providing for ones family. Any use other than this is punishable by up to 7 years in prison, or death depending on the severity of the case. Matters of self defense are to be handled by officers of the law. Anyone found in possession of a firearm, or piece of weaponry, without a license will be tried as an enemy of the state and publicly executed.
  6. Non-citizens are allowed into the empire but must receive permission from the empire before crossing the borders. Citizens of Bim Badhur are expressly forbidden unless written permission from The God Emperor himself is given. Any non-citizen found in the country without proper paperwork will be sentenced to 20 years imprisonment.
