The History of Afelthyr so far

In an age past lived a dark elven civilization, in the darklands beneath Creoden, known as The Phrygians. The Phrygians served the red dragon known as Hadrax. The Phrygians were incredibly versed in the ways of dark magic and created a series of 5 spheres to channel their arcane energy and summon Hadrax, the world destroyer. The Phrygians had a battle with the Lydian Elves, or high elves, and in the battle of Lydia Hadrax was called from his small moon to the land of Afelthyr. The Lydian Elves thwarted the Phrygians and imprisoned Hadrax. The Great City of Lydia was completley destroyed and one of the 5 phrygian spheres was split in two.    In the center of The Nebula used to lie a city of extremely advanced magic wielders. Elves, Gnomes, and Humans all alike. In the Sundering, when the nebula was split the floating city of Eleyeria sank to the bottom of the ocean.   Across the continents many ancient temples to the gods lay ruined. Many treasures and magical items lie within.

Current Species & Cultures

The dwarves began on the island of Rakthos, before it was corrupted by dark magic. They developed kingdoms in The Crag Mountains. During The Reign of Skadvalos the dwarves migrated west towards Kols Alps and The Arterre Mountains, abandoning their home on Rakthos. Some of the dwarves refused to leave and still reside within The Crag Mountains. This is the birth of the duergar.    Humans had dominion over the region of Asun before the sundering. For thousands of years humans had no way to leave the continent. However, in recent years they have created their own creations utilizing gears, gunpowder, and machines. They seek to expand their kingdom across the realm, especially taking the land that was lost to The Dwarvres.   The halflings reside in Frostmoore on Creoden. They have lived their since the dawn of time and protect the land and its sacred spaces. Some believe that there is a hidden gate that leads to the home of the gods within Frostmoore. A halfling group of monks known as The Guardians supposedly live deep within the Icecrown Mountains and supposedly protect this gate.    The elves began on the continent of Creoden in the central regions. The Lydian elves had one of the most advanced societies and lived in a floating city called Lydia. This city was destroyed by The Phrygian Elves in The Battle of Lydia by the red dragon Hadrax.   The Dorian elves lived in the region now known as Onari. Onari used to be an oasis of life but was destroyed by the corruption of Rakthos. The Dorian elves, along with the Forest Gnomes, were forced to adapt to the harsh conditions of The Bone Desert. They are now known as The Sandfolk.
